So within the last 12 hours everything I could’ve worried or complained about has solved itself.

[[MORE]]I recently got in touch with my ex from high school, and after a few catch-up messages, I invited him to come to an old friends’ birthday party. The party starts with ice cream and he shows up about 10 minutes after I do. We’re all sitting around talking and it’s just normal again. Then we go to the midnight premiere of Brave, and I’m between him and the birthday girl in the theater. I’m sitting there realizing that these are people I haven’t been close with really in a while and yet we’re talking like it’s old times. We’re talking about Supernatural and Korra and study abroad life and whatever else. And it’s just normal. I’m cracking jokes with both of them through the movie, and freaking out (like ya do) and I just can’t get over how easy it is. It’s like I’m back in high school where these are all my people again, except without the overwhelming emotions. After the movie, Skyler and I get dropped back off at our cars, and we stop and talk for a minute. He’s a vegetarian now. I’m not. It’s a big change. And it’s still just easy and normal. We say goodbye, we hug, and leave. And nowhere in there is it awkward or painful. It’s just hanging out. It’s never been this easy.
